sample-itinerariesSample Itinerary - 10 DAYS TO THE GOLDEN WEST BY AIR

Fly from London to San Francisco returning from Los Angeles (tour may be reversed). Departures are usually mid-week with a flight time of 10 hours approximately.

Day 1 Transatlantic flight from London to San Francisco. Transfer to hotel for overnight accommodation.
Day 2 Morning sight seeing tour of San Francisco - One of the most exciting cities in the world. The city sightseeing tour includes Union Square, China Town, the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman's Wharf with a view of Alcatraz Island. At your leisure take a cable car ride to Ghiradelli Square, visit the shops in Victoria Union Street or relax in a park by the Golden Gate and admire the view from Twin Peaks. Afternoon transfer to El Portal. Overnight: El Portal.
Day 3

Full day visit to Yosemite National Park - This is one of the most magnificent parks in California. The mountainous scenery is breathtaking with waterfalls, glaciers, rivers, nature trails and rock formations. The most impressive waterfall is the Yosemite Falls which thunders down 2,425 feet. Transfer to Bishop. Overnight: Bishop.

Day 4

Morning departure to Las Vegas. Afternoon and evening at leisure in Las Vegas - The unrivalled gambling and entertainment capital of the world. The city thrives on superlatives biggest, brightest, longest, tallest. Las Vegas boasts more neon and lights than any other city. Every fantasy imaginable is evoked in its architecture and interiors. The city boasts an unlimited variety of entertainment, sightseeing, special events, shopping and dining. We suggest a visit to the Bellagio Water Show featuring an outdoor music and light show with a dancing waterfall. Overnight: Las Vegas.

Day 5 Depart for a day trip to the Grand Canyon. One of nature’s most awe-inspiring sights, this geologic wonder carved over billions of years is a canyon of 277 miles long, 18 miles wide and nearly a mile deep. Overnight: Las Vegas.
Day 6
Depart for Anaheim visiting Calico Ghost Town en route - Step back in time with a visit to this restored mining town, experience the gold rush days, and learn how people lived during this exciting time. The town has a museum, static displays and actors in period costumes, train and stagecoach rides plus much more including staged gunfight scenes. Overnight: Anaheim.
Day 7
Morning sightseeing tour of Los Angeles. Visit Hollywood Boulevard where you check out the ‘Walk of Fame' or take a trip to Beverly Hills and marvel at some of the most expensive shops in the world. Afternoon visit to Universal Studios, Hollywood the world’s largest movie studio and theme parks. The famous studio tour takes you past and through some of the most famous movie and TV locations ever filmed. See the chilling Psycho house and Bates Motel and original sets from The Lost World and Jurassic Park. There are thrilling special effects and stunt shows. Universal City Walk - The fun, colour and excitement of a street fair with restaurants, shops, street musicians and dancers.
Day 8
Spend a full day in Disneyland® - The original Disney theme park, filled with classical attractions and spectacular entertainment. Overnight: Anaheim.
Day 9
Morning at leisure, depending on flight departure time (a visit to Venice Beach can be arranged at a supplement). Afternoon flight from Los Angeles to London.
Day 10
Morning arrival in London.

Orlando

Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom® -for most visitors to Orlando, the Magic Kingdom is a "must". Here you will find seven "lands" with over 40 attractions in addition to parades, fireworks, shops, restaurants, live entertainment and cartoon characters.

Epcot (Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow) -Disney's vision of a world where nations could co-exist peacefully. It consists of two distinct areas (Future World, a high-tech, futuristic view of countries, cultures and advanced technology alongside the World Showcase, a sampling of 11 countries with a more traditional theme).

Disney MGM Studios -a combination of some of the best moments of big screen and televisions with the latest in special effects.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Park -this Florida Theme Park combines fantasy with real wild animals on a Kilamanjaro Safari. Other attractions include Dinoland, river rafting and The Tree of Life which is home to the 3-D attraction ‘Its tough to be a bug'.

Wet'n'Wild -ideally situated on International Drive and within walking distance of our hotels, this superb water park with its state of art wavepools, slides, chutes, flumes plus thrilling rides such as The Storm, The Surge, The Bubba Tubis and The Blast. An excellent venue for a relaxing day.

Seaworld -excellent presentations including spectacular marine mammal shows, an Antarctic Penguin Encounter and Shark Tunnel shows, all with conservation very much at heart.

Busch Gardens - whether you are a 'coaster freak' or a lover of wildlife, this park is well worth the trip to Tampa. Attractions include a safari park, a zoo and white knuckle rides.

Kennedy Space Center - an education and a delight that will remain in your memory. There are interactive shows and displays you can even visit the famous launch pads or tour the full-size replica of the space shuttle "Explorer". The IMAX film presentation is a revelation.

Universal Studios - an exciting attraction and also a working film studio. You will be enthralled by the action and detail. Don't miss the E.T. adventure where you climb aboard bicycle like contraptions and escape with E.T. or the Terminator 2 attraction which combines live action, special effects and amazing 3-D film.

Universal Studio's Islands of Adventure -five exciting themed islands including Jurassic Park, The Lost Continent and Marvel Super Hero. Adventurers will experience mythical classics and contemporary stories.

Typhoon Lagoon - a water leisure complex which resembles an island jungle with tidal pools and water falls. Located in the Walt Disney World Resort.

Disneys Wide World of Sports Complex - a 200 acre sports complex offering over 30 types of sports including the NFL experience and the Richard Petty Driving Experience.

Disneys Blizzard Beach - located in the Walt Disney World Resort, the waterpark includes a Downhill Double Dipper, Slush Gusher, Teamboat Springs and Summit Plummet - a 120ft waterslide.
