Sample Itinerary - 11/12 DAYS HIGHLIGHTS OF AUSTRALIA TOUR

Fly overnight from London to Sydney. Your flight will arrive 2 days later.

Arrive in Sydney and transfer by coach to your hotel. The rest of the day at leisure. Evening dinner and overnight Sydney.

Morning guided orientation coach tour of Sydney, including views of Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, the historical Rocks area and Darling Harbour. Travel to the famous Bondi Beach, with time for a stroll, before returning to the city. Afternoon at leisure. Your party may wish to visit the Sydney Aquarium or Sydney Wildlife World at Darling Harbour, the Powerhouse Science Museum or Taronga Zoo (by ferry from Circular Quay). (Entrance fees for optional visits above not included). Evening dinner and overnight Sydney.

Full day to the Blue Mountains. Visit the spectacular Blue Mountains and see the Three Sisters Rock Formation above the Jamison Valley. Stop at the Scenic Railway (the worlds steepest) and Scenic Skyway for an optional ride, (not included in tour cost). In the afternoon visit a Wildlife Sanctuary where you can see Kangaroos, Wombats, Wallabies and Koalas. Return to Sydney for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Depart your Sydney hotel. A coach will transfer you to Sydney Airport for your flight to Uluru. On arrival in Uluru, meet your coach and transfer to your Ayers Rock (Uluru) accommodation. Tour the remarkable rocks of Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) and have a guided walk into Walpa Gorge (Olga Gorge). Weather permitting; see the spectacular sunset over Uluru. Evening dinner and overnight stay Uluru (Ayers Rock).

Early morning start to experience sunrise over Uluru with an optional rock climb. Guided walk to Mutijula Waterhole, whose waters have been drunk by Aborigines for generations. Visit the Cultural Centre. Evening dinner and overnight Uluru (Ayres Rock).

Depart your hotel and transfer to Uluru Airport for your flight to Cairns. Arrive in the holiday resort of Cairns, gateway town to the Barrier Reef and the Northern Coastal Rainforest. Afternoon at leisure in Cairns. Evening dinner and overnight Cairns.

Take a high speed catamaran to the Barrier Reef. Snorkel and see the stunning coral and marine life. Your tour includes a buffet lunch and snorkel equipment. Return to Cairns for evening dinner and overnight accommodation.

Travel by the Kuranda Scenic Railway through the picturesque Barron Gorge to the rainforest village of Kuranda. There are markets here on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Spend some time at leisure in Kuranda before taking a trip on the world's longest Gondola Cableway, which glides above the rainforest canopy. Evening dinner and overnight Cairns.  Optional evening Aboriginal Cultural show at the Tbapukai Cultural Park (not included in tour cost).

Transfer to Cairns Airport to connect with your return flight to London. You will arrive back on Day 11 or Day 12, depending on flight departure time.
