An STS tour to China is an experience like no other. Students can experience the highlights of China and enjoy a fantastic and unusual musical experience. Concerts are arranged in local schools, music conservatories and local communities. They will give your group the opportunity to meet the local community and share cultural heritage with them. Groups have the unique opportunity of performing at the Great Wall of China, The Temple of Heaven and the Hishiku Catholic Cathedral.

7 Days to China
Day 1:
Arrive at airport and depart from the UK.
Day 2:
Arrive at Beijing, met by our guide and transfer to hotel, free time for leisure and settling in before your evening excursion to the Beijing Opera. Have the opportunity to go backstage and meet the actors before their performance.
Day 3:
Visit the Great Wall of China at Juyongguan Section or Badaling section. Free time for lunch followed by a visit to the Summer Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you can take in the exquisite garden designs. After dinner perform a rehearsal in your Hotel.
Day 4:
Guided tour of Tiananmen Square, the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong, and the Forbidden City. In the afternoon have a rehearsal followed by an evening concert at Forbidden City Concert Hall. Following your performance enjoy a traditional Chinese dinner in a local restaurant.
Day 5:
Have a tour of the National Centre for the Performing Arts. Afterwards, take part in an afternoon workshop and joint performance with Beijing No.4 High School musicians before returning to your hotel. Have the evening at leisure to have dinner and explore the local area.
Day 6:
Morning shopping at the famous Wangfujing Street or Qianmen Street. Afternoon transfer to the airport for your return flight.
Day 7:
Arrive back in the UK.
