Just over two hours away by Eurostar, Paris is one of France’s most iconic and accessible destinations. A hotbed of creativity and bursting with famous landmarks, students will take delight in putting their language skills into practice in one of the most visited cities in the world.
The capital of France boasts some of the world’s best known attractions and has an elegant style all of its own. Must see sites include the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral and Chateau de Versailles, but to delve deeper into the city’s soul, attractions such as the Musee d’Orsay and the Maison de Victor Hugo provide a fascinating window into the history and development of Parisian culture. Visit in winter to experience the magical Christmas Markets, or take a trip to Disneyland Paris; Europe’s most popular theme park.
Develop your students confidence by encouraging them to ask for directions and put basic language skills into practice as they browse the stylish shops along the Champs Elysees, sail down the River Seine and stroll along the Right Bank. Put their reading comprehension to practical use as they translate tempting lunch menus and find out more about the city’s top attractions. Apply their linguistic expertise in exciting new settings when they discover the fantasy world of Disneyland Paris.
