Key Information
Travel: STS offers tours via coach and ferry or Eurotunnel, or by aeroplane. In-country travel is efficient, and with short distances between attractions, journey times are limited.
Accommodation: STS offer a choice of full and half-board coastal, lake-side and city-based welcoming hotels and friendly youth hostels.
Weather: With a predominantly Mediterranean climate, Italy enjoys hot summers and mild winters, but experiences significant extremes and changeable weather in mountainous and coastal areas.
Spending money: One of the Euro’s more expensive destinations, students can expect prices to be on a par with the UK. Personal expenses are at the discretion of schools.
