Be impressed by the crenelated fortress of Palazzo Vecchio - the seat of the Italian government until the 16th century. Step inside one of the oldest and most famous art museums of the Western world, and be overwhelmed by the artwork of the Italian masters that the Uffizi museum houses. Walk up to Piazzale Michelangelo and look back down on the city, taking in its magnificent skyline. Take a day trip out of the city to see the leaning tower of Pisa, or the red clay hills of Sienna.
