For all students studying the creative arts there is no better destination than Florence. Here, during the Renaissance, art was reborn and great artists such as Michelangelo began to change the course of art history. Their legacy remains to be discovered by the new generation of artists in some of the most important and resonant collections in the world. History of art students can, at first hand, see the detail and dynamism of Ghibertis ‘Gates of Parardise’ or scale Giottos tower adjacent to the magnificent Duomo which dominates the medieval centre.
At the heart of Florence lies the Uffizi gallery, which must feature on any itinerary. Florence will embrace and inform providing an unforgettable experience rich with curriculum possibilities.
