Art & Design in Lido Di Jesolo

A forty minute ferry ride from Lido will deposit your school group outside the Doges Palace, near Piazza San Marco where students can begin their Renaissance odyssey. The view from the Lagoon is breathtaking as the Gothic inspired facade of the Doges Palace catches the sun and the nodding heads of the gondolas approve your arrival. Venice is now at your mercy from the magnificent churches of San Marco and San Lorenzo to the modest but exquisite Brancacci Chapel with its wonderful frescos.

Spanning the impressive Grand Canal are the Accademia and Rialto bridges both providing access to further Venetian treasures. Change your mode of transport and a coach will take you to the stunning sophistication of Verona, only a short journey away. Step into the Roman Amphitheatre then follow the Romeo and Juliet trail to the infamous balcony. Padua is another special town full of the zest and attitude and here your group will also come face to face with the godfather of the Renaissance. Recently renovated, Giottos frescos in the Scrovengi Chapel appear as vibrant as the day they were painted, over 700 years ago.
