Travel to the centre of the island and walk through the fortified gates to the ancient city of Medina. See the imposing Municipal palace and discover historical masterpieces in the Carmelite Church and Priory. Descend into the dungeons to trace the history of the island and discover the gruesome treatment of the prison’s inmates. Take your students to visit Malta’s famous Blue Grotto and its system of caves, to see phosphorescent colours and deep shades of blue reflected in the caverns here.
