Business Studies in London

Explore the heart of the world’s largest financial district with your business students to discover why London still vies with New York to be the leading global city.

London’s economic and political importance developed during the middle ages when trade was organised into guilds which controlled the city. By the start of the twentieth century the city was at the height of its influence as the capital of the largest empire in history, today 30% of the UK’s GDP is still generated by the capital. Take a stroll with your school group through the famous Square Mile, uncovering the fascinating evidence of former trades and industries in the buildings, and street names. Delve into the world of money at the Bank of England to gain understanding of the British economy and how it relates to your students.

Explore the polished streets and plazas of Canary Wharf, home to Europe's biggest cluster of skyscrapers and the world’s leading financial institutions. Take your group to a behind-the-scenes tour of Wembley Stadium, uncover the intriguing workings of a successful global multinational at Coca-Cola or drop into an independent brewery to see why being small can sometimes work well.
