Stretching from the Atlantic Coast to the centre of France, the Loire Valley is an area of outstanding beauty. It is also said to be the region where the purest french is spoken.

The Loire Valley is renowned for its rich artistic and historic past. During the late 15th Century and throughout the 16th Century, the Kings of France settled in this region, building many magnificent châteaux, a number of which remain today as a legacy of France's aristocratic past and the extravagance and splendour of the French monarchy.

The Valley is known as the 'Garden of France' and reputed for its fine wines and outstanding cuisine. With good quality accommodation and many superb excursion possibilities, the Loire Valley is a first-class destination for schools.
