Towns & Cities

Dieppe - Visit the Chateau-Musée de Dieppe with its collection of ivory statues, navigational instruments and prints by Georges Braques or explore the Cité de la Mer Sea Life Centre.
Colourful market - all day Saturday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings.
Rouen - Explore the historic city of Rouen, visit the cathedral made famous by Impressionist painter Claude Monet; the Musée de Beaux Arts; the Joan of Arc Museum and the Place du Vieux Marché where Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake.
Étretat & Fécamp - Étretat is a superb seaside resort, famous for its striking cliffs and the monumental chalk arch known as the Porte d'Aval. Fécamp is an important fishing port and home to the popular Bénédictine liqueur.
Honfleur - The ancient port of Honfleur has maintained its 16th/17th Century appearance and has strong associations with the Impressionist painters and writers. Visit St Catherine's Church, constructed entirely out of wood in the 14th Century

History & Landmarks

Musée de la Résistance et de la Déportation - A small museum at Forges-les-Eaux dedicated to the Resistance Movement of WWII.
St Wandrille Abbey & Jumièges - Explore the remains of the Benedictine abbey at St Wandrille founded in 649.

Special Interest

Neufchâtel Cheese Production - the famous heart-shaped cheese, a speciality of the Seine Maritime area of Normandy. Groups can visit one of several dairy farms and learn about the methods of production.
Bénédictine Distillery & Museum, Fecamp - learn about production techniques and the history of this famous French liqueur. Cider Production.

Art Museums

Giverny - Visit Claude Monet's house and gardens at Giverny. The Musée d'Art American close by presents a collection of works by American artists who lived and worked in Giverny at the turn of the century.

Leisure

Dieppe Seafront Leisure Complex - With swimming pool.
Ludibulle Sports Complex - Near Dieppe, including swimming pool with water cannon, slides and a skating rink.
Parc du Bocasse - Fun park/zoo (near Dieppe), rides are suited to younger children (seasonal opening).

Longer Full Day Excursions

Bayeux, Arromanches, Caen (Calvados area) - Travel to Arromanches to view the Mulberry Harbour and 1944 Invasion Museum. En route take in the Normandy Landing Beaches and continue to Bayeux to view the legendary Bayeux Tapestry.
Paris - Depart hotel/centre early morning with a packed lunch. Due to drivers' hours restrictions, your coach will not be available to you in Paris (your group will therefore need to use the Métro to explore the city). We would recommend a visit to the Sacré Coeur and Montmartre, a cruise down the Seine and a trip up the Eiffel Tower.
