Lake Garda is Italy's largest lake enjoying a mild climate and a stunning landscape.

Popular since Roman times when it was known as Il Benaco "beneficent lake", there are many vestiges of Roman settlement. Surrounding the lake are beautiful historic towns and villages.

The region was greatly influenced by the Venetian Republic which ruled here from the 15th - 16th centuries. This sophisticated holiday destination offers not only culture, leisure and outstanding natural scenery, but enjoys a location allowing for day excursions to Verona, Venice and Milan.

Excellent leisure facilities also abound including Italy's largest theme park Gardaland.

All of our arrangements are flexible and STS are happy to quote you for any variations you may choose.

7 DAYS TO LAKE GARDA BY EXPRESS COACH
Day 1	Depart School. Connect with an early evening Channel crossing. Travel overnight on your coach.
Day 2	Arrive at your accommodation in the afternoon. The rest of the day is free to relax. Your coach is not available due to driver's regulations. Your first included meal is evening dinner.
Day 3-5	Excursions of your choice. Suggestions include: • Full day to Venice - Your coach will drop you at Piazzale Roma from where you can continue your exploration of the city by foot or water bus. Take a water bus along the Grand Canal for a view of the sumptuous architecture, the Rialto Bridge and the activity on the waterways. See St Mark's Square, St Mark's Basilica, The Campanile, The Doge's Palace, The Bridge of Sighs and the Law Courts. Journey time approximately 2½ hours. • Full or Half Day to Verona • Full day - Gardaland or one of the themed leisure attractions around the lake (seasonal opening).
Day 6	At leisure. Your drivers will not be available to you due to driver's hours regulations. Depart in the late afternoon and travel overnight.
Day 7	Connect with a morning Channel crossing. Return to School.

Sample Itinerary - 5 DAYS TO LAKE GARDA BY AIR INC. COACH EXCURSIONS
Day 1	London to Italy by air. Transfer to your hotel accommodation.
Day 2	Full Day tour of Lake Garda. Excursions of your choice.
Day 3	Half Day to Verona (or theme park transfers).
Day 4	Full Day to Venice.
Day 5	Transfer to the Airport. Italy to London by air.
Entrance fees are not included.
