The treasures of the capital city are combined with the scenery of the Bay of Naples.

Choose to travel by full specification touring coach or by Air with a programme of coach excursions included.

Sample Itinerary - 8 DAYS BY AIR TO ROME & THE BAY OF NAPLES WITH EXCURSIONS
Day 1	London to Italy by Air. Transfer to hotel.
Day 2	At leisure in Rome. Excursions in Rome are not included in the tour price. Rome can be explored on foot and by using the integrated public transport system. We suggest you start at Piazza Venezia with its palaces and massive monument to Victor Emmanuel and then visit the Capitol, the hill which stood for the power of ancient Rome. Continue to the Forum, the extensive ruins of what was once the religious, political and commercial centre of ancient Rome. See the Palatine Hill, The Colosseum, Arch of Constantine and Imperial Forums. In the evening visit the Spanish steps and the Trevi Fountain.
Day 3	At leisure in Rome. We suggest a visit by public transport (cost not included) to the Vatican City to see St Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel. In the afternoon see the Jesuit's Gesu church and the Pantheon, a perfectly preserved Roman monument.
Day 4	Depart Rome after breakfast by Italian coach and transfer to the Bay of Naples. En route you make a stop at Monte Cassino, a Benedictine Abbey founded in 529 which was both a religious and artistic centre. The Abbey was destroyed by the allies in 1944 but has been beautifully restored. Arrive at your accommodation in the Bay of Naples for evening meal and overnight accommodation.
Day 5	Full day visit to Herculaneum and Vesuvius by Italian coach included in your tour price. Herculaneum was a busy Roman port destroyed, like Pompeii, by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. The town was preserved by the mud flow which covered its buildings. Mount Vesuvius , an active volcano still dominates this region. It is possible to climb right up to the crater (entrance fee is payable).
Day 6	Full day to Naples and Pompeii by Italian coach included in your tour price. The National Archaeological museum in Naples has one of the world's most extensive collections of Greco-Roman treasures including finds from Pompeii and Herculaneum. Pompeii was once a flourishing town and seaside resort, visitors can experience the Roman town which was engulfed in ashes following the massive volcanic eruption.
Day 7	Full day to Paestum by Italian coach. Take a drive along the spectacular Amalfi coast to the site of Paestum dating from 600BC. Excavations have revealed excellently preserved Greek Doric temples and other ruins making this one of the most important archaeological sites in Italy.
Day 8	Transfer to the airport for return flight back to UK.
NB. For small parties this tour can be taken by air with rail travel between Rome and Sorrento. Excursions are not included in the tour price. The cinrcumvesuviana railway connects Naples to Sorrento stopping at Vico Equense, Pompeii and Herculaneum. Entrance fees are not included in the tour price.
Sample Itinerary - 10 DAYS TO ROME & THE BAY OF NAPLES BY EXPRESS COACH WITH EXCURSIONS
Day 1	Depart school. Connect with an afternoon channel crossing. Travel overnight on your coach through France into Italy.
Day 2	Arrive early afternoon. Overnight accommodation (usually in Lido di Jesolo). The rest of the day is free to relax and enjoy your resort. Your coach is not available due to drivers' regulations. Your first included meal is evening dinner.
Day 3	Depart after breakfast and travel to Rome.
Day 4	Full day in Rome for sightseeing. We suggest Piazza Venezia, the Capitol, The Forum and Colosseum and other Classical ruins. Evening visit to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Due to coach restrictions Rome sightseeing must be completed on foot or by using the integrated public transport system (fares not included).
Day 5	Depart in the morning for The Bay of Naples visiting Monte Cassino en route or spend the morning in Rome to visit the Vatican city including St Peters and the Vatican museum with an early afternoon departure to the Bay of Naples.
Day 6	Full day to Naples and Pompeii, see air tour for description.
Day 7	Full day to Vesuvius and Herculaneum, see air tour for description.
Day 8	Depart in the morning and travel to your en-route overnight accommodation.
Day 9	Morning at leisure. Your coach is not available due to drivers' regulations. Depart in the afternoon with packed evening meal, your last included meal and travel overnight.
Day 10	Connect with a morning channel crossing. Return to school.
