The Costa Brava or Wild Coast is an area of rocky inlets, picturesque harbours, fishing villages, sandy beaches and modern tourist resorts.

The Costa Brava offers a wealth of performance opportunities and the Spanish make a very receptive audience.

Groups who can perform outdoors are warmly welcomed by local music festivals which attract large, appreciative audiences.

There are also bandstands in all the major towns along the coast including Calella, Tossa de Mar, Lloret de Mar, Salou and Barcelona. Indoor venues include hotels and local concert halls whilst Barcelona Cathedral, the Monastery of Montserrat and Tarragona Cathedral offer potential venues for sacred choirs.

Although Barcelona has a rich historical heritage it is also a dynamic city that looks forward with futuristic architecture, art and fashion.
Figueras - a typical Catalan town - the birthplace and final resting place of Salvador Dali. Visit the fascinating Salvador Dali Museum.
Montserrat - a Romanesque monastery built on an unusually shaped mountain. Inside the complex is a shrine to ‘The Black Madonna’ a statue of the Virgin Mary. The shrine is a centre for pilgrims and it is here that the boys choir of Escolania practice.
