Estonia is located along the Baltic Sea and shares its borders with both Latvia and the Russian Federation. About a third of the population live in the capital city of Tallinn whose Old Town is included in UNESCO World Heritage List. Estonia's history is marked by Nazi and Soviet occupation and the country is very proud of its independence; English is widely spoken and the country has a “Scandinavian” feel.
Tallinn offers many exciting venues in which to perform. Orchestras and choirs can perform in the Town Hall or in the newly-built Kumu Museum. We also have access to the prestigious concert halls in the House of the Brotherhood of Black Heads and the Kanut Guild Hall. Choirs have the opportunity to perform in the Church of Saint John as part of its established series of evening concerts. In the summer months performances can be arranged in the seaside resort of Parnu where outdoor concerts are very well attended.

Since joining the European Union in 2004, Estonia has invested heavily to improve tourist accommodation and services. STS is able to offer our groups a selection of modern properties in Tallinn which are perfectly situated for exploring the city. The Reval Express Hotel is a modern 2-star-hotel just outside the city walls. Its 163 rooms are pleasantly decorated and facilities include a restaurant and a spacious meeting room. The City Hotel Portus offers modern and comfortable accommodation. There is a restaurant and a sauna (extra fee) as well as 3 large conference rooms which can be used for rehearsals.

Sample Itinerary - 4 DAYS MUSIC TOUR IN TALLINN BY AIR
Day 1 — Flight to Tallinn. Transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 — Full day sightseeing in Tallinn to include the Lower Town, the Town Walls, Towers and Gates. Evening concert in the Church of Saint John.
Day 3 — Morning sightseeing in Tallinn including the Upper Town with Toompea Castle and the Cathedral of Saint Mary the Virgin. Afternoon concert in the Town Hall.
Day 4 — Transfer to airport for flight to the UK.

Excursion Selection
The Old Town - See the defence towers, the 600-year-old Town Hall and the many beautiful churches.
Kadriorg Palace - The lasting remnant of the Russian tsarist rule over Tallinn, construction of the palace was started in 1718 by Peter I as summer residence for his family.
KUMU - The Estonian Art Museum opened in 2006 and houses both classical and contemporary collections.
Estonian Open Air Museum - Located in a 79-hectare picturesque forest, the museum consists of farm buildings, windmills and water mills from various periods and regions.
The Song Festival Grounds - This is where in 1988 half the population of Estonia gathered to sing national songs and to voice their desire for independence. This is why the Estonian separation movement from the Soviet Union is called the “Singing Revolution”.
Parnu - Estonia's summer capital, located 130 kilometres south of Tallinn. It is a thriving seaside resort with a variety of music concerts and exhibitions in the summer.
Tartu - Estonia's second largest city is a University town with a vibrant student life. Visit Dome Hill Cathedral and wonder along “Angel's Bridge” and the “Devil's Bridge”.
Helsinki - Travel by hydrofoil to the Finnish Capital for the day.
