Originating in the Swiss Alps and flowing through France, Germany and the Netherlands, the river Rhine lends its name to one of the best known areas in Germany.The Rhine and Moselle Valleys are very popular tourist destinations attracting good audiences to musical performances.
Outdoor informal performances can be arranged at the Deutsches Eck in Koblenz and in the town of St.Goar. The well equipped Spa centres offer both indoor and outdoor performance opportunities as part of their regular concert series.
Churches in Koblenz and Lahnstein and the Cathedral in Cologne offer opportunities for choirs and orchestras. The area also offers more unusual venues, including Rhine cruisers and local wine festivals.

We have a vast selection of accommodation throughout the Rhineland and Moselle Valleys which offer a good standard of accommodation and real value for money. The Pension Haus Weller in Boppard offers good value for money and often sole occupancy. The Hotel Jägerhof in Kamp Bornhofen offers ideal accommodation for music parties with comfortable rooms and a warm welcome. The Hotel Moselblick in Treis Karden is ideally situated for both Rhine and Moselle visits with a good standard of accommodation and private facilities.

Sample Itinerary - 5 DAYS MUSIC TOUR IN RHINE / MOSELLE BY COACH
Day 1 — Late afternoon arrival.
Day 2 — Visit Rüdesheim, the most visited town in the region. Time at leisure in the town. Afternoon concert in the market square. The day could include an optional Rhine steamer cruise.
Day 3 — Lunchtime performance at the Musikpavilion in Bad Honnigen. Afternoon visit to Konigswinter. Take the railway to the famous Drachenfels - Dragon's Rock mountain.
Day 4 — Morning visit to Koblenz. Afternoon concert at the bandstand in Boppard. Time at leisure in Boppard. Take the chairlift to the Vierseenblick providing views of the "lakes" created by the Rhine.
Day 5 — Depart after breakfast for an evening arrival home.

Excursion Selection
Rhineland Tour - This worthwhile tour of the Rhineland includes visits to some impressive medieval castles including Stolzenfels and Rheinfels Castle and the attractive city of Boppard with its riverside promenade, from which boat trips are possible.
Koblenz - At the confluence of the Moselle and the Rhine. Visit the Middle Rhine Museum, the two fine Romanesque churches and admire the view down onto the 'Deutsches Eck' from Ehrenbreitstein Fortress.
Rüdesheim - Popular wine town noted for its busy narrow streets. Visit Siegfried's Mechanical Music Cabinet, a wine museum or take a chairlift or cable car to the Niederwald Monument.
Cologne - The history of Cologne goes back to Roman times. Its magnificent cathedral is a fine example of Gothic architecture. The Germano-Roman Museum gives an insight into life in Cologne in Roman times. The Chocolate Museum is a popular visit!
Bonn - The capital of former West Germany. See the collegiate church, the town hall, the market place and Beethoven's birthplace.
Königswinter - South of Bonn, this lively town is situated at the foot of the Siebengebirge, traditional home of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Take the railway to the famous Drachenfels - Dragon's Rock mountain.
Phantasialand - Located betwee?n Cologne and Bonn, this exciting theme park offers a wide variety of attractions including a thrilling simulator space adventure flight combined with incredible IMAX® - HD film effects. Open April-October.
