Club Kitzsteinhorn This centre is run by the friendly Pecile family and specifically designed for youth groups. It is a well located property with excellent facilities.

Location: Easy walking distance to town centre and beach.
Facilities: The superb range of facilities include an outdoor swimming pool (seasonal and unsupervised, usually open end of May until mid September), trampoline, volleyball, tennis, football pitch, two squash courts, games room with table tennis and pool tables. There is also a disco room, small cinema, large sports hall and 2 bowling lanes (small fee payable locally). Where possible each group will have it's own recreation room with television/video for evening entertainment. Meals are served in two restaurants (self-service) and there are 2 small Stüberls for accompanying adults.
Accommodation: Rooms are usually 4-6 bedded. Staff are accommodated in twin rooms. All rooms with full private facilities.

Jugendhotel Markushof This centre offers a high standard of accommodation and superb in-house facilities. Efficiently run by the Riepler family.

Facilities: The hotel has 6 dining areas and 4 lounge areas. The extensive in-house recreational facilities, include a large sports hall (27m x 17m), games room, meeting room, discos, TV and video room, table tennis and table football. Within the 10,000m2 private grounds, there are facilities for minigolf, volleyball, sports field, basketball, skate-boarding and a petting zoo. Sauna and solarium for teachers at a small charge.
Accommodation: Bedrooms are usually for 4/6 pupils and all have private shower and wc.

Saalbach
Gästehaus Thurnerhof Groups staying at the Thurnerhof will be sure to receive a friendly welcome from its owners the Kröll family. This hotel offers comfortable accommodation with good food.

Capacity: 109 Location: Around one km from the centre of Saalbach village with its many amenities.
Facilities: There are two stüberl style dining rooms, extended reception area and a games room.
Accommodation:: Is offered in two separate but interconnecting buildings. These have bedrooms for 61 and 48 persons respectively. Most of the rooms accommodate between 2 - 6 pupils but there are three larger bedrooms which sleep up to 8. All bedrooms are nicely decorated with shower and wc.
Meal Basis: Full Board.

Sample Itinerary - 7 DAYS TO AUSTRIA BY EXPRESS COACH
Day 1 — Depart school by coach for an early evening Channel crossing. Continue your overnight journey through Germany and into Austria.
Day 2 — Arrive in resort in the early afternoon. Afternoon at leisure. Due to drivers' hours regulations you will not be able to use your coach.
Days 3 - 5 — Excursions of your choice.
Day 6 — Enjoy the facilities of your chosen resort. Your drivers will not be available to you due to drivers' hours regulations. Depart in the late afternoon and travel overnight.
Day 7 — Connect with a morning Channel crossing. Return to school.
Meal Arrangements
Full Board. Evening dinner on Day 2.

Excursion Selection
Towns & Cities Salzburg - tour Salzburg's monuments, including the Cathedral, the Hohensalzburg and Mozart's birthplace. Hellbrunn Castle just outside the city with its trick fountains is a fun visit - be prepared to get wet!
Saalbach - enjoy the views over alpine pastures from the 4 gondolas in operation in Summer.
Kitzbühel - the backdrop of this 1,000 year old walled town with castle, is dominated by the two peaks of the Kitzbüheler Horn and the Hahnenkamm. A fashionable ski resort in winter, it is equally attractive for summer visitors, who may explore streets of gaily painted houses and enjoy the café-society ambience.
Zell am See - enjoys a beautiful lake side setting with the magnificent peaks of the Grossglocknër in the background. The mediaeval town is delightful, with cobbled streets, excellent shopping, and pavement cafés. There is an excellent Sport Centre, with indoor swimming pool, tennis, etc. Zell am See also has an ice rink.
Kaprun - Attractive resort close to Zell am See. Take a cable car ride to the glacier.
Wagrain - is located between the picturesque slopes and alpine pastures of the Salzburg Sport World. The village is set amid un-spoilt nature, natural spectacles and cultural highlights alongside plenty of local action packed activities.
Natural History & The Environment Hallein - Visit the salt mines. Grossglockner - a superbly constructed alpine road takes you to a height of 2550m in Austria's national park (road toll not included).
Krimml Waterfalls - Situated in the Hohe Tauern National Park the Krimml waterfalls plunge over three cascades totalling 380m and are the highest in europe. There is a long pathway to the top. Entrance fee applies.
Bavarian Mountains - Berchtesgaden and Konigsee, Germany-Berchtesgaden is a popular holiday resort, situated 573.024m up in the Salzburg Alps in Bavaria (famous for Hitler's mountain retreat, the Eagles Nest - access to the Eagels nest weather permitting). Visit a salt mine. See also the beautiful town and mountain lake of Konigsee.
Special Interests & Crafts Salt Mine - Berchtesgaden. Salt was first mined here in 1517. Descend into the mine by mine train, continue via downhill slides and dark tunnels. Cross Salt Lake on a raft, see a film and exhibition. There are also Salt mines at Hallein.
Gorge Walk at Taxenbach Guided mountain walk.
Werfen Ice Caves - marvel at this giant iceworld and enjoy the guided tour.
Leisure Summer Tobogganing - take a trip on the artificial toboggan run in Saalfelden.
