Normandy is without doubt one of the most popular destinations for schools visiting France.
The département of Calvados is typically French in character, with important agricultural and dairy industries. Famous produce includes Camembert cheese and of course, the Calvados apple brandy, often taken as a "Trou Normand" to whet the appetite.
Calvados also has a rich historic past: William the Conqueror set sail from Dives-sur-Mer to do battle with the English in 1066, while on D-Day in June 1944, the Allied Forces landed on the beaches between La Madeleine in the west and Ouistreham in the east to liberate Europe from the Nazis.
STS clients can benefit from a base at the exclusive Château du Baffy.
