The STS Château du Baffy lies on the edge of the small village of Colombiers-sur-Seulles, situated between Caen and Bayeux, just 6km or so from the seaside resort of Courseulles-sur-Mer (Juno beach in the Normandy landings of 1944).

Creully is 2kms away and is a larger village whose own Château de Creully was the BBC's communication centre during the Normandy landings. There are a number of shops, bars, a crêperie, and every Wednesday morning there is a small regional market in the town square.
