Location: Close to the main Railway Station and the central Bus Station of Dresden, 2 kms from the Semper Opera House, Frauenkirche and Zwinger.

Accommodation: Students are accommodated in 2 – 6 bedded rooms. All rooms have private facilities and Cable TV.
Meal Basis: Half Board.

The city can be explored on foot or using the public transport systems. STS can quote for coach excursions which can be pre-booked before you travel. Excursions are not included in the tour price. Both tours include a 2 hour city guide.

Sample Itinerary - 6 DAYS TO DRESDEN BY COACH
Day 1 — Depart UK by coach - overnight travel to Dresden.
Day 2 — Arrive in Dresden in afternoon. Time for some exploration on foot or by public transport (cost not included). STS includes a city guide for a 2 hour walking tour. Due to driver's regulations your coach will not be available for use. Evening meal (first included meal).
Days 3 - 4 — Explore Dresden and surrounding areas (see our Excursion Selection).
Day 5 — Day at leisure for sightseeing on foot or by public transport (cost not included). Due to driver's regulations your coach will not be available for use Depart Dresden in the early evening for overnight travel to UK.
Day 6 — Arrive in the UK.

History & Landmarks Old Town Kreuzkirche - Church of the Holy Cross – Home of the Kreuzchor Boys Choir, which is more than 500 years old.
Old Market Square - Oldest and largest of the city's squares and still used for markets several times a year, including the oldest Christmas Market in Germany.
Landhaus - 18th Century building, now the City Museum.
Frauenkirche - Church of Our Lady – The church was reconsecrated in 2005 following its restoration after being badly damaged in WWII.
Bruhlsche Terrasse - Popular promenade on the banks of the Elbe.
Albertinum - Combines a number of world class museums under a single roof.
Catholic Hofkirche - Built 1738 – 1755, a unique combination of Roman and Baroque architecture.
Residenz-Schloss - Royal Palace - Neorenaissance towers. The Palace houses the Green Vault with its treasures and the Cabinet of prints and drawings.
Zwinger - Outer bailey. The Semper Gallery in the Zwinger is the home of the Old Masters Art Gallery and the Armoury. The Zwinger also houses a world renowned porcelain collection. The Salon of Mathematics and Physics features clocks, globes, telescopes and measuring instruments.
Semper Opera - Beautiful 19th century building destroyed in 1945 and reopened in 1985 following extensive reconstruction (guided tours available).
Furstenzug Procession of Princes - All the rulers of Saxony from 1123 to 1904 are on display.
Special Interests & Crafts Pfund's Molkerei - Ornate interior and huge selection of cheeses.
Cable Car ride - overlooking Dresden.
Paddle steamer trip - on the Elbe.
