This tour encompasses many of Greece's major archaeological sites.
Combine the sites of Athens with the evocative and enchanting ruins of the Sanctuary at Delphi. Continue to Olympia where the four yearly Olympian Festival was held in antiquity.
Our tour includes a stay in Pylos a quiet seaside town. The Battle of Navarino took place in the bay here.
Groups will visit the Mycenean Nestor's Palace and the ruined towns of Sparta and Mistra. Continue to Tolon for last two nights.

Multi Centre Tours are based on accommodation in Athens at the Euripides or similar and C Class accommodation in all other centres.

Facilities: Roof top breakfast room with terrace which has excellent views of the Acropolis and the city.
Accommodation: Students are usually 3 to a room and all rooms have private facilities with air conditioning and TV.
Meal Basis: Half Board with evening meal taken at a nearby taverna.
Tolon
Hotel Minoa Friendly family run hotel offering a high standard of accommodation.

Location: Excellent location right on the beach.
Facilities: Restaurant and beach terrace where meals can be taken. The hotel has a lounge with television, bar and sunbathing roof terrace.
Accommodation: Students are usually accommodated three to a room. The rooms are simply furnished and offer a good standard of accommodation, all have private facilities, radio, telephone, TV, hairdryer, safe and air conditioning.
Meal Basis: Half Board.

Sample Itinerary - 8 DAYS TO ATHENS, DELPHI, OLYMPIA, PYLOS & TOLON BY AIR
Day 1 — Fly from London to Athens airport. Transfer to your Athens accommodation by coach.
Day 2 — Day in Athens visiting key sites, using local transport, or on foot. Excursions in Athens are not included in the tour price (see Athens for optional excursions).
Day 3 — Morning at leisure to visit the museums or shops. Transfer to Delphi in the afternoon. Dinner in a local taverna and overnight stay in Delphi.
Day 4 — Morning to explore the delights of the Sanctuary at Delphi, learn of the legends of the Oracle and visit the Museum. Continue by coach to Olympia using the Rio-Andirio bridge. Dinner and evening free. Overnight stay in Olympia.
Day 5 — Morning visit to the Sanctuary of Zeus, with time to explore the site of the original Olympic Games. Late morning travel to Pylos with a visit to Nestor's Palace a Mycenean palace. Overnight stay in Pylos.
Day 6 — Depart for Tolon after breakfast, visiting en route the ‘Ghost Towns' of Mystra and Sparta. Sparta was once as powerful as Athens, it was feared for its strict regime and aggressive people. Mistra was once a thriving Byzantine city. Built precariously on a hill it boasted a fortress, palaces, a monastery and churches, the ruins of which can still be seen. Dinner and overnight stay in Tolon.
Day 7 — Full day to visit the Tomb of Agamemnon and the ancient Citadel of Mycenae with its Royal Tombs and the Lions Gate. Continue to the famous Sanctuary at Epidavros, ancient seat of modern medicine with its splendid theatre. Return to Tolon via the historic port of Nauplion, the ancient capital of Argolis overshadowed by the imposing fortress of Palamidi with its one hundred steps.
Day 8 — Time at leisure in Tolon subject to return flight times. Transfer to Athens airport for return flight to London.
Meal Arrangements
Half Board: First Meal - Evening meal on Day 1.
Final Meal - Breakfast on Day 5 (Meal order may vary with flight times).

Entrance to classical sites is currently free for school groups and Party Leaders with pass.
Entrance fees are not included in the tour price, STS can help you obtain a museum pass to all state museums and sights, please ask for details (small administrative charge applies).
