Sample Itinerary - 11 DAY CLASSICAL MASAI MARA SAFARI TOUR
Day 1
UK/Nairobi
Your scheduled flight departs London this evening, arriving in Nairobi early the following morning.
Day 2
Nairobi/Masai Mara
Arrive Nairobi. Meet your Driver/Guides. Travel across the magnificent Rift Valley to the Mara. Soon you are in Masai country, spot their fenced 'Bomas' (homesteads). Arrive at the Mara before nightfall.
Day 3- 5
The Masai Mara Game Reserve
Three complete days have been put asideto explore the vast plains, acacia woodland and forested river valleys of this magnificent park. Normally you will undertake two full game drives every day, the first at dawn and the second in the late afternoon. These are the two times of the day when the animals are at their most active. Bordering the Serengeti in neighbouring Tanzania, the combined reserves cover over 6,000 square miles and afford the best game viewing in all of Kenya. Our Driver/Guides are experts in seeking out the 'Big Five’ of lion, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros and even the elusive leopard but you will see literally thousands of gazelle, wildebeest, zebra, eland, giraffe, warthog, hyena, jackal and even the solitary cheetah.
Day 6
Mara/Nairobi/Mombasa
Leave after breakfast, to connect with your short flight to Mombasa at the coast. Transfer to your Beach Hotel by the Indian Ocean.
Day 7-9
Mombasa
Spend time at the beach or explore the local markets. It is possible to organise a programme of local visits and excursions at a small supplement e.g. snake farm and handicraft village.
Day 10
Mombasa/UK
Depart hotel today for the return flight to Nairobi and connection with your overnight flight to the UK.
