Day 1
UK/Cape Town. Your scheduled flight leaves London for the overnight flight to Cape Town.
Day 2
Cape Town
On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Cape Town. Rest of the morning to unwind after the flight and relax. This afternoon, weather permitting, take the revolving cable car to the top of Table Mountain for an awe inspiring panorama of this most beautiful city. Overnight Cape Town.
Day 3
Cape Town and the Cape of Good Hope
A full day excursion through the fishing villages and resorts of the southern Cape to the actual Cape itself, where it is said the two oceans meet. Walk up to the lighthouse where you are rewarded with 360° views of the peninsular and the southern Atlantic and Indian Oceans. A stop is made en route to see the colonies of jackass penguins at Boulder Beach. At certain times of the year you may also see whales ‘breaching’ and ‘fluming’ just off the coast in their natural breeding grounds. Return to Cape Town. Visit the Aquarium and have dinner at the waterfront. Overnight Cape Town.
Day 4
Cape Town/Oudtshoorn
Leave Cape Town after breakfast to depart the Garden Route, through the dramatic arid valley environments of the Klein Karoo to the ostrich capital of the world, the quaint resort town of Oudtshoorn. Time this afternoon to visit an Ostrich farm. Dinner and overnight in Oudtshoorn.
Day 5
Oudtshoorn/Knysna
This morning you visit the world famous Cango Caves with their array of vast limestone stalagtites and stalagmites, regarded as one of Africa’s most impressive natural attractions. Visit the famous Cheetah Land, one of the only two successful breeding ranches in the southern hemisphere, where you can interact with a cheetah. Continue to the beautiful town of Knysna. Overnight Knysna.
Day 6
Elephant Sanctuary
After breakfast depart for the Elephant Sanctuary, a chance to experience the great African Elephant. The sanctuary houses mainly orphaned elephants and you will have the chance to interact with these magnificent creatures. In the afternoon return to Krysna and enjoy a cruise on the tranquil Krysna Lagoon, before a visit to the Featherbed Nature Reserve. Marvel at the natural rock formations known as ‘The Heads’ standing guard at the lagoons exit to the Indian Ocean. Overnight Krysna.
Day 7
Addo Elephant Game Reserve
After breakfast depart for the Addo Elephant Game Reserve. Stop en route at Storms River, where you can watch one of the highest bungee jumps in the world. Addo National Park is home to one of the most dense populations of elephant in the world. Arrive late afternoon at the reserve and enjoy an open vehicle game drive. Overnight Addo Elephant Park Cabins.
Day 8
Enjoy a day in the bush including an open game drive and a guided bush walk. Addo is characterised by shadowy valleys of dense bushveld. In addition to its dense elephant population, it is also home to the rest of the big five, including black rhino and a wide range of antelope. Overnight Addo Elephant Park.
Day 9
After breakfast depart by coach for Cape Town airport for your late afternoon flight to London.
